1.6 Advisory commissions and research institutes
A number of internal commissions and independent external commissions advice the government on the formulation of policies and exercise control over the implementation of these. Furthermore, independent research institutions play a role in advising the government, either on request or of their own accord. Publications are usually available to the public and sometimes translated into other languages.
