The Appraisement Centre (Expertise Centrum LNV or EC-LNV) is part of the Ministry of LNV. Its aim is to promote and realise the transfer of knowledge and information to Southern users in the policy areas of nature, forest, landscape, flora, fauna and urban greening. The EC-LNV and the International Agricultural Centre (IAC) co-host the Forestry and Biological Diversity Group. This group provides advisory services in the field of forests and forestry and biological diversity to LNV, DGIS, embassies and other institutions and organisations. Furthermore it provides inputs on policy development and undertakes thematic studies in support of policy implementations.
