All ministries have their own information services for the public. General, regional as well as thematic information is available. Publications cover a wide variety of themes (e.g. tropical forests, sustainable land use and cattle breeding in developing countries) but also comprise general contributions by the Netherlands to the implementation of Agenda 21. Furthermore, an overview of countries that participate in the bilateral cooperation programme, as well as information on country related policy plans, can be requested. In many cases information can be obtained from the Dutch embassies as well. More information about DGIS is available at www.minbuza.nl.

The PROFORIS Database ( www.proforis.nl ) lists DGIS’ bilateral, multilateral and international activities in the areas of forest conservation, forest management and biodiversity.
